A Note From Our Founder

Elly Chou is named after my mother, the person who first introduced me to the world of jewelry.

Growing up around her jewelry business, some of my earliest memories were spent watching pieces come together and learning that jewelry can hold more than beauty. It can carry stories, memories, and personal meaning.

Although my career eventually took me in a different direction, I earned a degree in Child Learning and Education from The University of Texas at Dallas and went on to work in education and childcare. Still, my interest in jewelry never really left.

Years later, a trip to Italy brought that interest back into focus.

I found myself drawn to the craftsmanship, the small artisan shops, the architecture, and the way so many objects felt connected to a place or a story. It made me start thinking seriously about creating a collection of my own, one rooted in family, memory, and the places that have shaped me.

That vision became Elly Chou.

Every collection begins with a story. Many of our designs are named after the people and places that have shaped my life and influenced the way I see jewelry. Some are inspired by family, others by cities, travels, or small details that stayed with me long after I returned home.

Each name is a quiet reference to where the design began.

Without my mother's encouragement and years of experience in the jewelry industry, Elly Chou would likely have remained just an idea.
